anyone got one? they look a nice handy multimeter size, much better when your up a ladder.

cheers andy

Having used one I'm not very impressed. Although they are a nice handy size you need three hands to operate them, very difficult to hold three leads on and hold the tester to test at a light or smoke.

You shouldn't smoke - it's bad for you!

I have used every tester out there pretty much and whilst there are some old faithfuls, I now have the DiLog 9083P. I have used for 3 years now and it has proved a great bit of kit. However, 2 drawbacks. One, there is no neck strap with it (one is available at extra cost) so three hands are needed sometimes to use it safely. Secondly, there is no backlight with it - a pretty fundamental oversight in my opinion. However, if you can deal with those minor niggles then they are a great little tester and excellent value for money.

I have one as a spare but I never had any bother with it.

No backlit display as mentioned, but I had a head torch.

I use it on the bench every now and again and yes, a bit

like a souped up multimeter.

I have been offered some new kit...not sure what to make of

it... Looks impressive and comes in three bits in a large case.

There again, just bought a new Digi-cam with a Leica lens.

WOW,

if your not impressed with the Fluke you are going to be hard to please,

its about the best meter out there (personal choice)

and the Di-Log will deffo not come anywhere close,

even the megger fan boyz will agree with that I think, if they are back from the BOC yet. ;)

yea we have had small problems with fluke results, but as i found out on here other day, when its been calibrated they hadent updated the firmware. its just the size of multifunction testers, i dont dislike it, i just think that there has got to be something more practical. haha yes plus the meggers are even huger! then again im probobly just being picky!

Got a email last night about Seaward tester. Looks all right for the money,

either that sounds wrong or i have a dirty mind...
