Customer had no heat.  I replaced a faulty thermostat on a Dimplex Strorage Heater - an xl 9209 thermostat - The Storage Heater on Economy 7 only so I advised the customer to turn on power over night to charge up and set Input to Max. A few days later reports back the heater is not as hot as it used to be....Any suggestions before I go back to check it out?   I assume the Output has been set to Max also!

I have split this post onto a new thread rather than tagging onto an old thread from 2009.

My experience suggests the "calibration" of thermostats varies enormously from one to another.  It could be as simple as the range of the new one does not go as high a temperature.

But do check all the elements, perhaps one or more is open circuit?
