Ariston Primo HE ITD125 direct water heater

The heater is only for hot water, no CH

Is this basically an immersion heater?

Have to wire one up, but the house has no economy 7

I wanted to put the top element on a switch and the bottom element on a timer so it can come on at night.

( Is power cheaper at night across the board?)

Anybody suggest a good timer

Thanks

Hi,

Some meter companies will upgrade to E7 at no cost, others anything up to

No! If you suggest going to eco 7 do some careful calculations - the night rate is a lot less, BUT the day rate is quite a bit more!

How do they heat the building?

we are on E7. its about 4.5p at night and about 12p in the day time. But 1st 225units/qtr are at 22p/unit (but no standing charge)

patch the elements heat up bricks which hold the heat and release it during the day,

Not the water heater? You're talking about night storage heaters, I assume? I have 5 of them and I'm used to their foibles. :D
