Hi,

Anyone come across or own a doogee mobile phone. Mate showed me his and its identical to my galaxy s4.

For £60 brand new and couldnt really tell the difference.

Cheers

Matt

It might look the same, but I'm sure that the spec is different

However a mate of mine always buys phones like these and never really has much of a problem with them... They're also dual SIM which can be a benefit in dodgy signal areas

How much do the big brand names charge for such things M4tty ?    I see on Google  that Doogee is a cheapo Chinese brand  but  with this type of stuff  they probably use the same technology and parts as the better known brands.    Buy in the same casings as Galaxy

You know that thing with TV screens ....its said there are only two companies making them so same quality  screen in a cheapo as a Panasonic etc.

I'm often surprised at these things .....like the later Saab cars are  Vauxhall chassis and engines  ....where does the Vauxhall finish and the Saab start. ?

Before the Austin / British Leyland / Longbridge car works finally blew it's own head off , they had a deal with Honda to use their engines , which improved their product by 10000%  ...... then they shat upon Honda , blew them out and concentrated on committing suicide and turning the works into housing and a shopping centre.

I'm considering buying one of these cheapo's to try. Names to look at seem to be ZTE, Cubot, G'five, Kingsing, NEO, SWEES, Jcomm etc and indeed Doogee. If you're really an Apple fan you can get skins for the Android phones too. They generally though will only take one 2G and one 3G SIM. Screens also tend to be half the resolution of the big names.

Saying all that Tesco are doing the Motorola Moto E for I think £79 and it's 4G. 4.3" screen, expandable storage etc.

Where did your mate get it from?

Mad though when you can get a 5.0" Android phone with Bluetooth & WiFi albeit only 2G for less than £45 on eBay. OK as a cheap tablet or media player etc.

Huawei? The well known handset and tablet maker sold in so many high street phone outlets..........................doesn't take much Googling to find allegations cropping up about them on the spying front. Think it's the US who refuse to allow the stuff on their networks etc.

Beats me why the Chinese would do such a thing though. I mean they only need wait a while and we'll give them anything they want, think power, railways, banks.............

Still I'm not worried by router's made by BT!

..............is Doogee an anagram of "Dodgy"?
