Thats a dry stone wall:|I thought a dry wall was one which is in a field and is constructed without using any cement to bond it together.
Dot & Dab, thats the phrase I was trying to remember!+1 Doc {Dry Wall ---Dot & dabbed }a1spark
+1 Doc {Dry Wall ---Dot & dabbed +1 more ,when I hear stud wall I think of a false type of wall or wher someone has extended a wall using batons.
SeeI understand the Americans use the term 'dry wall' for what we call plasterboard.
Yes agree 100%!stud wall is a wooden battened wall with plasterboard sheeting and plaster skimmed,
No - what you describe is 'dry lining'.dry wall is usually metal framework with plasterboard covering, back to front with the tapered edges taped and filled and screw heads filled in using drywall filler, and NO plaster skim coating.
you tell 'im Lurch........Dry lining is dot & dab, dry wall is as steps said. We aren;t in America so their terminology isn;t all that important on the matter ATM TBH.
