Emergency lighting cert

Just looking through some of the Tysoft certs earlier.

Emergency lighting cert. Where it asks for the instrument number of the meter used to measure the lux levels. It states "Where verification requirement V8 is carried out by measurement, details of instruments MUST be recorded"

What other methods are there for verifying adequate illumination during test?

So basically I don't actually have to measure the lux levels?
