Pushing the boundaries of science has always been a good use of money, we wouldn't have electricity without it and non of us would have job messing with it!

Not quite sure what we will really gain from a comet, but it will help our understanding of the universe, which may in turn lead to something else that changes the world. Anyway, it's a bit like councils spending money on Xmas lights, they have better things to spend money on, but tax payers occsasionally like money spent on something for the fun of it.

do not forget that the fly has to take off 10 years after the bullet is fired...and chase the bullet at the same time!

i attempted the same scenario with my car AND gatepost the other day...i managed it quite easily.....DOH!
