extending mains incoming water

bit of advise please.

need to move a stop cock, incoming pipe is blue, so am i right in thinking its 25mm mdpe?

i need to extend this below ground, is it the same as working with JG poly pipe?

can i bury joints underground?

was planning to reduce it straight to 15mm then plastic all the way.

blue pipe & connectors etc are easily available. joints can be buried

im sure SF sells it, but you may need to go elsewhere for a small length of pipe. and i wouldnt reduce it to 15mm underground

i say underground, but i just need to get i back to skirting board about 100mm or worst case a meter and bury enough to be tiled over. its only feeding 1 tap and washing machine

i have seen some in screwfix but was not sure which were the right fittings
