some sparkys will insist that they have to fit sockets into the wall and not onto the kitchen units themselves, but when they do, this is exactly the type of problems they will get

It was bloody awkward and a 6mm feeding the socket then white 2.5 feeding 3 single sockets for appliances and two doubles above worktop on a 30 amp 3036 with velcb. Fitted by a top notch kitchen company. Owner wouldnt change owt as he was selling! Lots of reccomendations on invoice!

Take it was fitted before part p come in then?

Absolutely disgraceful. I have found something similar to this where a cooker circuit had been changed to a radial, wired in 2.5 t&e from the cooker unit (live side). 8 sockets all protected by a 3036 30A fuse. The fuse had popped and had been replaced with a bit of 1.5mm flex core. This was on a total refurb house and thankfully it no longer exists!
