Evening all

Have looked in regs book/osg, but can't find an easy answer...

Can someone tell me if I have run 6mm cable to a cooker switch, come from that with 6mm to an FCU, can I run 2 2.5mm radials for sockets either side of an island?

Or does it have to be 1 continuous radial???

Cheers

It will no longer be a cooker circuit and will need to be marked up at the consumer unit as so

FCU is only about 5 inches from cooker switch. I've already labelled it at the CU as Hob & island sockets. I've run one cable from the FCU to an SO on one side of the island, so I guess I'm good to go with the additional cable from the FCU to provide the SO for the other side!.

Thanks all.

if i read this right ,you have two radial circuits off one FCU .while not good practice the distances are short .

have a look in the big red book appendix 15 page 363,spur using a FCU

having worked out your diversity on the cooker circuit have you added on for this extra circuit ?

Is a cooker still connected to the cooker circuit?

If not, why use a cooker switch and FCU?
