Freeware net usage monitor needed

The father-in-law needs a free download usage mmonitor and i've never needed 1 so cant recommend a decent 1. To save me the hastle of installing 100 to see which is best, wondered if you chaps had any recommendations.

DU meter is a good one. as for 'free', depends where you get it from...
