Never knew there was a difference between TNCS and PME can somebody enlighten me please.

PME is Protective Multiple Earthing - nothing to do with us, its all on the DNO side, it means in principal that every join in the cabling system on their side is rodded. TNCS is a visual representation of a means of earthing just like TNS, TT etc.

It's a tricky question to answer, PME in of itself (excluding the TNCS association with it) is a brilliant idea in theory. The DNO's have really not pushed the boat out so to speak with the system, more like a patch work quilt, and not installed the system correctly, this is where PME falls down.

So if the service head is TNCS but not labeled PME could well not be PME. Or am i over thinking this

PME is a variant of TNC-S, as is PNB

even if it is labelled PME chances are it may still be TNCS, you need to do some tests to check,

PME is always TNCS, but, TNCS does not necessarily have to be PME'd,
