So I'm pretty new here and noticed that you can buy a Gold membership, is it what it seems that rather than earn the title you can fast track to it, sort of like a 5ww of the forum world. Also what is involved in getting Gold membership the normal way.

Gold membership is not earned,

It's a paid for privilege to allow you to gain some of the forums more bandwidth hungry functions,

You are basically paying a little towards the bandwidth use of the forum.

For the entertainment, knowledge, and enjoyment I have had from this place, Deffo,

Not to mention the helpful downloads I've had too,

It's a lot less than a couple of beers in the pub, and it's warmer if you smoke,

That depends on how much you value the information on this site,,,, including the advice that we all give freely

Remember that if no one paid any money towards the forums running costs that it would have to have many more and higher profile advertisements

I think you'll find it worth it Cornjack ... and  as Stepps says ... this is a cracking Forum but, like most things,  doesn't  run on thin air.

The main Forum gives free advice , unlike when I asked advice about a problem with a Ford van .........you get an answer that says , three experts are waiting to help you , just pay £25.00 now for instant help.
