How would you feel about 2 commercial kitchen fryers, with 2 meters of 4mm 3 core flexes directly into kitchen DB? Would you code it a 2 or a 4 or nothing at all? Personally I think a seperate DP Isolator is needed.

I would agree, a double pole isolator should be provided, even though the mcb can be argued is sufficient for disconnection, some people may find it difficult without any signs as to what circuit is what.

I would code 2

Should have a isolator as the DB should be locked and not accessable to untrained/unauthorised personnel

A couple of things that would have to be assessed.

What is the most likely danger that would necessitate isolation?

Is isolation provided at the equipment, and would it be readily available in the event of a dangerous incident?
