Hello Guys,

I would like to know if it is safe and in conformity with the regulations to use a Henley block between the meter and the fuse board. The cable is A 16mm sq twin+earth and the distance between meter and fuseboard is 10m .

Thank you very much,

S

Henley blocks are okay for joining meter tails.

BUT your situation has LOTS of other problems.

For a start that length between the meter and CU requires a switch fuse close to the meter.

And the inner core of t&e is not double insulated, so should only be exposed inside an enclosure (e.g the switch fuse enclosure)

You will struggle to keep the 16mm twin double insulated when terminating into a henley block!

Only safe way would to be put henley block in an enclosure. You would also need a fuse as the others have said. A bit more design is needed.
