Just noticed,,, are those T&E's going through the same hole????

Yes its been dropped through a 25mm hole , no gland , but the SWA is used as the earth at the other end , some 50m away..... Hard to believe this factory is only 4 ish years old .... There are fair few other armoured's made off in a similar fashion > into some galve trunking then straight into the board , not investigated further yet , so im not sure if these are bonded to the glands at the other ends and one of the cores used as Earth ... doubt it and still rough if even if they are .

Also worth noting that the blue and brown are sitting on the edge of the chassis plate of the DB and without any glanding all the weight of the cable is on it - a big bang waiting to happen.

 
Thanks for the pics :) .. and IMHO... every SWA glanded onto a removable glanding plate should also have a supplementary earthing link from earth ring to earth bar.

Well spotted , the blue core has a nic in it, I'm OK to safely work on this board tmrw, so will start to put right .

 
What a quality install, Was there still a bale of hay outside where the 'electrician' tied up his horse :^O
