I ask because for the first time ever , we had to queue down the corridor and down the entrance steps.

Has there been a large turnout ? In Britain its usually around 43% I believe.

Yes first time I've seen a que at our polling station.

Labour held Sunderland then, but 7% swing to Tories.

Its the first time I have seen my polling station but there were only 3 people in front of me. In OZ its apparently illegal not to vote.

200 people refused a vote as they were still que'ing at 10pm when polling stations closed in Brum.

Same story in some other places so I'm told.

First time I've voted. Went about 3 this afternoon, a queue of 2 people in front of me.

Also received an e-mail from my (hopefully former) MP asking me to vote for her. Bearing in mind the only way she could have got my e-mail address is from me signing up to back scrapping tolls on the Humber Bridge, I'm not best pleased.

Interesting, Marc, you wonder who else has had access to that list.

I was the only person at my polling station when I went. But then it's a very small village.

Same here. I understand we have somewhere around 150 people on the electoral role in our village. I was alone at 13.30 this afternoon, but bless them they had two stalls :D

That sounds similar to here... but we had a sort of square, cruciform divided booth that would allow up to 4 people to vote simultaneously, just in case there was a rush...

No queue no nothing......

There are two station's in the same hall (room) where we go..

I was working till turned 7:00pm.

back home had me tea ..

didn't go to vote till 9:30pm..

Only me in our half..

the other station had 5 or 6 people waiting....

but they may have been friends/family waiting for each other?

Me and the wife went down this morning at 07.10am and there was one other person there when we arrived. So no que.

Strange really because in my area most people sign their name with a x.

So it should not be too hard for them to vote.

:) :)
