Hi All,

We are just to go live with a Blog we have been working on, I would like to invite anyone with a spare moment and the inclination to have a look.

It would be great if you could use the site and perhaps post your comments on the various subjects, I would really appreciate comments (on this forum thread not the blog) what you think.

Could we add a section?

What sort of info do you like/need?

Was it easy to use?

Would you book mark it as a reference site?

Is it something you would add to your smart phone?

Just had a quick look and first impressions are well laid out, easy to follow, clear, uncluttered. I would probably add it to my bookmarks on PC.

Ok, I'm not about the content, I'm about the design / layout. lol

Firstly, well done, looks really nice. Good choice of theme.

The only quarms I have are:

• The main navigation items at the top - Font could do with being a nats bigger
  
• As Canoeboy says, Twitter and RSS icons could do with being bigger. Up to you with colour really, Will stand out more but I see why not to
  
• The footer copyright notice - Needs expanding to 265px to fit the '2011' on top line. The line breaks (< br &gt inserting after '2011' and after postcode.
  

These are just nit-picky things. It's these things I pick up on ]

Overall though, really do like it.

From a personal point of view, my eyesight is not what it used to be

I would prefer to see a darker font colour, I find grey on white quite hard to read.

Also the comment about security issues raised by Canoeboy worried me. I need to look into this.

The big question apart from the themes, colours, font's, personal taste, security measures and all the rest is.......... would you use it?

As I have vision issues then the colours of websites are a big thing for me can you get W3C "approval" for yours & your blog, as I am told, mind a little while ago that that is the dogs danglies of accessibility?

I'm just getting into wordpress myself. Tinkered with websites for years but mostly hand coded ASP and HTML. Canoeboy got me back on wordpress (tried it years ago when it was in it's infancy) and I must admit it's a good system. Love it in fact. Had a bit of a steep learning curve with it, but getting there now. I use Canoe as a wordpress search engine. You pm him what your problem/intentions are and back comes links of plugins, themes and suppport forums. lol. It really works, try it. The 2 sites I've been working on don't even have a blog. Wordpress is used as a content management system.

I'll post their addys if anybody is interested in seeing them and if I'm allowed. Don't want to be seen as a spammer or thread pincher

Mike and I will have a good look at all the comments and suggestions and make changes if needed, please don't stop looking and commenting though.

It seems some are avoid this question so here is my answer. Yes, I will use it and check in regularly. Bookmarked! For some reason, reading through it reminds me of reading the PE magazine. Maybe an un-concious influence??

I would use it,

as has been mentioned, keeping up to date on certain issues,

colour is a bit of an issue for me, seems very bland/almost merged together in a funny sort of way.
