I'm having my supply equipment upgraded at some point (seems to go on forever) I am going to replace the proteous **** installed by my supplier with a wylex REC2 then I got thinking how could it be better?

Switch fuse?

Mccb?

RCCB?

100ma RCD?

Anything else?

Was thinking of 80a 100ma RCCB circuits are protected by 30ma rcbos :)

Make sure the RCCB is an S type.

Also, the RCCB is more likely to fail than an isolator, in which case, you would then need upstream isolation if, you needed to work on it.

My home has an up front REC2 followed by a 100mA 2 pole S type RCCB FWIW.

Just to remind you that I have stock of the Wylex REC2 @ £10.00 + £2.80 postage + VAT.

If that is not a good price, please let me know.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info :) I got one waiting but can't remove the proteous carp as the nob who installed it ruined the heads on the bolts and the head is an ancient price of carp and don't want to touch it :(

If its not one thing....

Good price though :)

I fitted a 4 way enclosure with a 100A isolator and a 100A 100mA TD RCD side by side for my old man looks pretty tidy. He just needs to get his hands in his pockets and pay for a SBS board now :D
