Bit of background for you, this is a plastic spur thats feeding an electric gate/barrier on the other end of the cable, its 3C so the load will be earthed solidly just not the cable (suppose it could be solidly banjo'd the other end, but I doubt it, and wasn't going to disconnect this end to do a continuity test*)

*Which could give misleading results if the other end happened to be like this where it was banjo'd but loose and touching

It looks like a gate installer special... taped off the local lighting too
