simple question, but has me thinking.

i need to extend a cooker circuit in a kitchen, as the oven is being moved about one meter. at present the oven isolator is in the position of where the oven is going to be, so i can't make it a JB with a flat blanking plate due to the heat.

if i extend the cooker supply cable down below it will not be accessable, and wago's dont make a 6mm connector to make it a maintenance free join....

any ideas... Oh the new kitchen is going to be an ikea one, so i have also been told that the bottom units fit flush to the wall.

many thanks

the cu is under the stairs and it is all wooden floor between the kitchen and the CU. also the client is on a tight budget... she went blue in the face when she saw my quote today, and so she has changed a few things, and just re-doing the quote now...

Maybe its because ive had a few pints but where are you going to extend the existing supply to? The problem with extending it either side is you remove the safe zone from the existing cable.

Can't you pull the feed down behind the unit from the original switch and crimp it in an appropriate enclosure either in the base unit or under it then new cable to point required under the base units, you can always access by removing the plynth cover.
