chope boxes into wall in kitchen let plastering get done then second fix kitchen side.

install appliances with single socket at low level from spur for each machine

test and certify and notify to building control

make existing lighting loop in kitchen ceiling safe.

how much in general would any of the contractors price this up at, ill tell you my quote in a bit, and then tell you how the kitchen fitter says he can do it for!! :(

Ok now the kids are bathed & ready for bed I can now do this properly..

Badge is that a total rewire of the house lighting, or just the kitchen?

lets face it, the c/u wont be changed, earthing upgrade wont be done, and the lighting will get extended with no earth same as ring main, 4mm will be used instead of 10mm, and the sockets will run as spurs from the existing ring main twin socket in the dinning room wall.

Welllllllll.

WE know all that work can`t / won`t be done properly for that price. All you can do is make the customer aware of your concerns and, as Andy says, leave your details for them to contact you as & when the inevitable corck-up occurs.

when she spoke to me on the door today (thursday) she said she was really sorry but she couldnt afford my price!!
It's mad isn't it???

I was at a house today, he's having the kitchen replaced, but he's leaving the grotty old tiles (from the 90's).. to me that is the opportunity to get everything right.

People shouldn't be spending that much money then doing half a job
