But the 300w flood was used to illuminate the steeple due to H&S concerns, we were not allowed to put lights in sensible spot, like top of tower, so had to illuminate from ground level. Fortunately both piccies are equally crap, but will give you the general idea Before and after
better picture of church you can see how the 300W illuminates the tower and Steeple, rest of church is illuminted by 50W flood with a wide spread. Found these annoying as you get dazzled off to the side more than directly in front, which was a bit weird.
The church was left as a war memorial to the dead of Plymouth. Whilst adjusting the light sand old couple wander on-site, tourists.
"Was there a fire he asks, what happened to the church?".
"Luftwaffa" says I.
"We're German" he says.
"Your forgiven" says I.
Spooky coincidence the first people to visit the newly illuminated church were German. At least they didn't arrive by plane this time :innocent
