Over the last few days I’ve had several e-mails asking to join my linkedin group, what group? I’ve rebuffed every approach to join other groups so how in the name of god have I acquired a group?

One of the regular requests is for me to join a group is from a person I’d cheerfully strangle.

I’m retired, I don’t want to “network” with unknown people. A forum such as TEF is all the networking I want to do and you lot are friends, not people trying to screw others by riding on my back.

Someone has nominated you as a member. You don't have to participate and if I recall correctly I found a link that stops the e-mails.

I only went on LinkedIn to find a subbie from years back.

It's a pita now. Some colleagues / ex colleagues are well into it. The virtual equivalent of false bonhomie and air kissing imo. Mind you I'm pretty anti social anyway.

I've been "endorsed" on there before for stuff I wasn't aware I could even do! Then you get people you don't like wanting to be your mate!
