little help

anyone got any idea how i can build a circuit where i can have standard bulbs flashing on and off?

its basicly for a house party that im haveing (still a young un! B-))

i have strobes and blacklights fitted to celing allready

but would like to get some spots wired in what i can have flashing on and off

i could go down the route of DMX ect

but if i could put togther somthing with standard fitting and some electronics would be better and cheaper i hope

A Triac circuit can be used to operate a mains light bulb...

could be driven by just a simple timer circuit...

or you could make a circuit with a Bar-Graph driver to work several bulbs via an audio input...

you could use one of these. requires soldering. used one a few weeks ago on a van for alternating flashing lights. the variable resistors are different values so min times are slightly different, but you can change one of them so they are both the same value
