The way I see it I would imagine they are going to find a lot wrong with most installations, if was wired to 16th half the circuits will need Rcd protection to bring it up to 17th but do they actually need it. I personally do not think they do but it is how they market doing the work that may be the problem.

Gawd `elp. I`m sorry, and maybe I`m being pedantic, but I absolutely detest bad grammar and spelling.
A few times now, I`ve had "C.Vs" from school leavers / students. Almost all get a stock reply letter, basically sataing the need for a good first impression, which they have failed to produce by sending out a sloppy C.V. If you can`t be bothered to even spell check it, or have someone look over it for you, why should I trust the capabilities of your work?

To drum up extra work I put out fliers out at a landlords exhibition - probably around 150 fliers taken. Also offered this to around 30 local organisations. Wording as follows:-

1. Does you fuse box have a replaceable fuse wires?
2. Do your plugs or sockets get hot or have scorch marks?
3. Do fuses blow regularly?
4. Do you have to use extension leads and adaptors?
5. Do you have lights that use the old, twisted type of flex?
6. Do you have rubber covered flex?
7. Do you have round pin plugs and sockets?
8. Are your cables missing an earth cable?
9. Do you use electrical equipment outdoors?
10. Has your wiring been checked in the last 10 years?
i used a drill outside the other day, best get them in to rewire the house!
