Hi i have one more exam to complete my lvl 3 (fault diagnosis), and i am working full time as a panel wirer/fitter. but i am looking to gain some experiance in domestic and commercial installations before i decide to take my redundancy and look for a new career. I am available weekends and do not mind working for free as experiance is more important to me. I know my stuff and am very quick on picking things up so if you require an extra pair of hands in the birmingham area i am more than willing. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and any information or offers are greatly appreiciated.

Not being nosey mate, but its a bit grim out there so do you have to take redundancy? If you dont need to take redundancy then best to keep hold of your job a bit longer if you can.

know what u mean.I work for MEM which is called EATON ELECTRICAL now, the americans brought it. They have reduced it to a few hundred people with 131 people to be made redundant. Now i reckon the place has got two years tops, so in the next year i want my 2391 and there is bound to be more redundancies next year which is when i will take it, wont go no where without my 2391 and some experiance.

Sounds like the yanks are making a right eaton mess of your company! Well good luck and it is great that you are looking at other options for when that day might unfortunately happen.

Hopefully things might be better this time next year!
