Manufacturers instructions

I've got a shower replacement to do in the very near future and the circuit doesn't have RCD protection at the moment, now we all know that we should follow MIs and it is best practice to RCD, but where is the reg that says this?

I might need the reg to backup my position and justify my bill!

Don't have the book with me but regulation 701.411.3.3 states

..... remembering that this is a like for like replacement,,, except that the old ones bust and the replacement won't be

Still on a like for like I would insist on having the circuit RCD protected.

The other one that specifically mentions the Manufactures instructions is 134.1.1 pg 19 (of the old fashioned Big Red)!

Oh the two 522 group regs are unique to 7671 then!!!

the 510 reg is from the IEC std!
