Client is very happy with the repair. :|

She does not want the ring reinstated at this time due to her fitted wardrobes, laid wood floors ect.ect. :p :p

There must be a level of trade-off.

We could go into most domestics, and rip into the issues, ending up with a full 17th rewire because they called you over a dodgy pendant!

Sometimes, they`ll let you rewire the house - once you convince them its necessary, AND they can afford it!

But what if they can`t? Do you just shake your head sagely, and walk away? Or do you do the best you can, for the money they can afford?

I`ll push EVERY customer to have a fully compliant installation. But; if they can`t afford to pay for it, then you have to work within the budget. Make a note of outstanding issues, on the cert. AND the invoice, and they may well come back to you when they`ve saved up a bit. andante.
