that system is actually a good one, if used correctly. have done it myself a few times when i need both hands free. but it also needs anchored at the top to stop sideway movement like in the video. also useful on roof ladderswhat a plonker, I noticed he frequently took his hands off the rungs whilst climbing/ descending. what happened to 3 points of contact and was he hanging off a harness at one point? why?
I think it could be an anti theft device, so if you fall off your ladder, the ladder stays with you. As we all know the current value of scrap metal, if a ladder is left unoccupied for more than 2 minutes someone would be off down the scrap yard with that nice bit of unattended metal. Is there any point in hooking yourself onto the ladder ??
youve never been to their yard. id give any unattanded scrap 20 seconds. attached to someone or notI think it could be an anti theft device, so if you fall off your ladder, the ladder stays with you. WHY? Because he was attempting to show that he had done this deliberately as part of the demo. I think he was just about to say "look how well the strap prevents you from falling and hurting yu senz"what a plonker, I noticed he frequently took his hands off the rungs whilst climbing/ descending. what happened to 3 points of contact and was he hanging off a harness at one point? why?
that pretty much sums up the whole thing. its all corrupt thereBut not the plonker doing the demo i bet.And i bet he would have sacked some on the spot if they had done what he did.
