dont you just love it when they give you an area and tell you to design something to fit.!?

thats like saying do an electrical design for my house, it has 7 rooms,

what? 6 bathrooms and a hall.? :slap

Update to the update...

they have been back again, brought the 'Inspector' with them this time....red faces all round. Now they are coming back to fit an isolator next to the meter so he does not have to go into loft to isolate it. 'We have never done that before' they said....

First Van [man with chapter 17 FFS] said they were NAPIT, second Van had ELECSA MCS cerified Installer or some such thing on it.. Third VAn...plain clothes. HAng on a minute there, I can hear the sound of orses ooves... :coat

must be the next 'expert'

Sounds like another band-wagon outfit. I am very much aiming my marketing on being an established contractor with a track record of happy customers - I'm hoping it will make the difference when people come to chose. :pray

In the short term you will lose work (but do you want that work anyway), in the long term you will gain reputation and a lot of work, people will still pay for good reliable jobs :)

Just one question.

You say this system has a maximum output of 1KW, so that will be about 4.5 amps maximum.

Why therefore did they feel the need to wire it in 6mm t&e? 2.5 would be plenty, hell even 1mm would be plenty. Am I missing something?
