Based in Cheshire, work for a DNO on the HV network for 35 years, did basic spark training before moving onto the heavy stuff, but do the odd domestic electical favour for friends and family

Welcome to our corner of the net.

HV scares the pants off me. It doesn't surprise me there's more documentation involved in working on it.

Each unto their own I guess. Its like those nutters who wear chainmail suits n work on the live pylons. You gotta either have a screw loose or balls of steel !

Well maybe balls of steel wouldn't be good in that scenario but you know what I mean ! 🤣🤣

HV work much safer than LV, more or less everything HV has to be "isolated and earthed" with a written legal document to say so
not according to some of things I've seen

what has terrifed me more is connecting a large solar farm to the grid, talk about banging away.... I was unprepared for the noise and nearly fell out of the cabin :D
