Greetings Folks

I have just bought myself a new toy.

A metrel eurotest easi second hand from Ebay.

Im sure theres lots of reasons why I shoouldnt have bought s/h but I couldnt justify shelling out

Yeah used the Make an offer option and there you go.

One or two bits missing but all seems to be working fine .

If you choose carefully, ebay is alright.

Got my Megger 1552 earlier this year for peanuts, fully working with all the leads etc.

It was only just over a year old too

i was deliberating for ages.

Kewtech?

Megger?

went for the Metrel because

a) price

B) good reviews, feedback, opinions, about it from this forum

It seems everyone raves about the Megger.!?!?!?!?!?

I think the Metrel will be a good one to get going on.

We will see.

So anyway I now have to learn how to use this thing.

At the moment im wondering about the rcd test.

Is this test relevant when testing on rewireable fuses??

I expect not but I just wanted to get this confirmed.
that doesnt make much sense... the RCD part would be used when ever there is an RCD. the other overload/fault protection doesnt make any difference, RCD would still need tested.

There is no RCD in the installation.

I was just wondering if it had any other relevance???????
