Don't  take the assessor there Stepps , he'll assume it was you that shorted out the leccy meter, and,   they'll nick the air from your tyres,  you'll probably get shot , knifed, robbed, pocket picked  and mugged .    I know as I grew up there .

I've got a rewire that for some reason the only circuit on it is a double socket beside the CU, 

I'm hoping that will do, :C

That sounds like a big job  mate ,  how about just a single socket ?   Don't want to confuse the guy.
