Nightstorage heaters

I have a dimplex berry magicoal nightstorage heater which does not work, does anyone have any ideas why it doesnt. there is power getting to it, and the elements seem fine, do the thermostats go on them???????, or is there an internal safety device????????? Would be glad if anyone had any ideas.

1. The over heat fuse may have melted. Fitted in the top ,looks like a small tube of solder .

Often goes if people try to dry washing on heater or generally pile clothing on them.

2 When you say the elements "seem " OK have you tested them.

3. The input stat may be US and not allowing any charge.

Dimplex normally have a resetable thermal cut-out, like a round disc with a button on the top. Try and push down on it if it clicks then You have fixed it.
