How's that for bad luck?

2 nails through the same circuit (sockets), in different rooms:(

(Neutral to CPC 0.4 ohms)

You could imagine my joy at finding the first in less than 45 minutes. My joy was rather short lived, when the fault was still there (in the next room).

Sadly the next room had proper wooden block flooring down.. :_|

And then good fortune, the fault was now between just 2 sockets..Pray

(I disconnected this cable completely from the 2 sockets concerned)

Customer is well chuffed the floor hasn't got to come up..

:D

Oh by the way, for the benefit of the uneducated in this area:

1 I Disconnected all cables of this circuit from the CU.

2 Then Removed all socket fronts and seperated cables.

3 To allow me to find the path of the fault (between sockets).

4 Then linked L to CPC at CU feeds, to verify continuity of all sockets in circuit, after removal of faulty cable.

(The first fault repaired with crimps.)

Lucky lad !!!!
