I'm not especially homophobic (though I don't necessarilly agree with it)

But WHY?

What is it with the current obsession to legalise gay marriage?

And now we find it's not just the UK but other places.

So I ask again why?

I could understand it, if the gay's had been protesting and campaigning for years for it, and they were bowing to pressure, but I haven't seen that happening.

So I ask again, WHY is it the current trendy thing for governments to be legislating for?

Dave, equal rights have been campaigned for for decades, and this is only the next step. My personal view is that gay marriage does not affect me, but it makes a positive difference to those that it do apply to. To me, love is love regardless of whether it's straight of gay :)

I am probably the most homophobic person you will meet, and yet my brother is gay!!

I may not understand it but I love my brother and his partner.

I do not need to add to this.

Each to their own I say.

But like Dave has said, why has Mr Cameron spent all this time and effort promoting this idea for one small section of society, when there are far more worrying things he could be dealing with that to be honest affect most of society.

After all a shirt lifter doesn't stop being a shirt lifter just because they are not married.
