Hi Guys,

Thought I'd pop this one up as you experienced sparks may have forgotten? :|

*** By doing it this way, you will have one of the conductors of EACH T&E in the Ceiling rose, and one conductor of each T&E in Both of the Switches. I leave these there as "Spares" for the future. Coil 'em up. :) ***

Loop-in at the ceiling rose as usual.

take a Perm Live down the "Drop" to the 1st switch. - Connect to COM.

L1 & L2 are interconnected on switch 1 & switch 2.

Another T&E from the 2nd switch, back to the Ceiling Rose. The "Phase" will come from the COM in switch 2 and be connected to the "Switch Live" at the ceiling rose.

Who remembers that way?

:p

Was that 2 brown cores in that twin & earth in pic 1

first time I seen that used ,to use 2 red cores

Yes, That's true, Sir.But I was thinking - A spare conductor, should you need one, in the future.

:)
cant think, 1 of them stupid time delays that need a N ?

or just couldnt be bothered going to the van for the single... :^O :^O:^O

I was experimenting with Quick Reply. You don't get smilies on that! :^O

I would of added ]:) at the end!

That's why you're the Wiz. Checked out your For Sale stuff yet? :)

Although i have seen that method used , i have never done so as i was taught it was bad practice, for many reasons.

Spare cores should be terminated.

Possibility of Eddie currents when only one live used in one direction.

Can cause havoc with closed loop hearing aid systems and other interference issues.

Having a spare core at a switch, such as that gives no real benefits .
