Overloaded cable, or not ?

I've noticed that with cookers  ....every screw head in the book  just to connect .  

AND  the last two  , the connection boxes were undersized for the 6.00 mm cable.      I thought those days had long gone .    

 
I repair cookers and it’s quite common to find those plastic connection boxes to have melted!!  I personally think a cooker should have proper nut and bolt type terminal block like they always used to.

would be nice, but thatll add an extra 50p to the cost to manufacturer
