Didn't see the program, sounds like a pantomime to me!Jack Straw never got round to answering the all important question last week, but the answer was undoubtedly yes - the years of poor, weak immigration policy have obviously contributed to the rise in support for the BNP.Things do need to change.
But the Aussie guy has captured the feeling completely. It's time our politicians took notice of the feelings people have on immigration here. We do a lot of work in social housing sector, and my wife works for the NHS. Both of us see a LOT of people getting a lot out of the system without contributing to it.
I'm not on favour of the BNP in any way, shape or form, but it doesn't take half a brain cell to work out why they are gaining in popularity. I read the Aussie guy's quote to my wife (A dyed-in-the-wool-liberal) and she came back with a vitriolic lashing that if Sharia law was ever on the political agenda, she'd vote BNP. All a bit much for before 7am!
