Good day to all,

I have a client who wants an outside light. This would be for going to and from the car to the house. I suggested a PIR but the client didn't this was a good Idea as the house is in the country and would be constantly getting set off by birds, bats, badgers, bunny rabbits, brown owls, browsing foxes and busy squirrels; "this scenario can be a real "B" when you are a light sleeper", she said

I was thinking of a push switch inside the house and possibly a light sensor which would pick up the vehicle headlights

Does anyone know where I can purchase good light sensor and - any other ideas would gratefully received.

site

i have used this site before for a few bits, there are sensors on there that only pic up cars, and they are wireless, ... in the past i have purchased one of these stuck i timer on it with a contactor and a light on the other end.

not the cheapest option though but can be very versatile

cheers guys

i think Apache's pet friendly is the the best option , so far.

Hey Apache

You certainly seem to be the Animal spark around here

can I count on you for advice on agricultural sparking?

Agricultural sparking is easy. Just twist whatever wire you can find together. Generous application of insulating tape makes anything waterproof. If the lights go out no need to worry as the Vet has a torch. Best to avoid RCD's as they only trip when the water is running down the light fitting because the roof leaks.

I really should take some pictures.......

:D

Ok guys can anybody tell me if two of these can be wired up to work one light as the car prk is round the cornerfrom the car park?

if so how?
I don't think they are designed to go outside unless car park is inside.
