Hi,

Customer has a porche light which is switched from inside the house. He wants this light to come on automatically when he enters the porche.

I have not done this before so was wondering whats the best way to do it.

I can see the cable on surface in porche so is it possible to tap into the light feed after the switch and put a PIR in line.

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Cheers

Matt

they're less than

You can do this with a PIR the only problem you have is this is a switched wire so is only live when switched on, You realy need a permanant live to the PIR and use the switch wire as an override, hope this helps CJS

Not a problem, just leave the switch on and then some PIR's do the old 'flick it on and off a bit' for the override or just link out the switch and leave it on permenantly.
