Hi, hoping someone can help...

Live in Edinburgh using Craigkelly transmitter.

Having problems with the majority of my in-built freeview channels. All BBC channels are fine, FILM 4, 4 Music, ITV4 only, and a couple more along with the radio channels are all i'm getting. Up until around 2 months I was able to get every channel but now when I do an auto search these are the only ones that are picked up.

The outside aeriel on the roof of my flat comes into the window sill then into a 'Antiference' box... may there be a connect problem with this???

All suggestions more than welcome.

Thanks

Mark

Couple of things to try

Retune your box,,,,,,,has your area switched over yet ?????

you may be getting interference from two transmitters....have a read of this site

Freeview Aerial Problems, Improve Digital Terrestrial TV Reception

it could be that you have a cable fault from your aerial to the box, your aerial has shifted in the wind or needs upgrading

you could of course find a freeview installer and get them to come and have a look....maybe a few quid well spent

Thanks for the reply Sparky.

Currently got two cables joined together between the outside aeriel box and the TV as it's 4metres distance so i bought another longer one yesterday but that one doesn't pick up anything at all (it only cost

who installed the aerial ???

is it a community one supplied but the maintenance company of the block of flats ?????

if so then i would suggest they are your first contact

it also sounds like you have a connector fault or a damaged cable

if you need to get someone out at your own expense phone a few companies and get prices (sole traders give better prices) look in local mags, free papers etc

hope this helps
