I know its not the best time to talk about money, but,

What would you expect to pay/be paid for a subbie(cis), 3 years since first starting out, builder's labourer beforehand, 2.5 years working, has 2330 p2 and 17th, works 90% of the time alone arranging own materials, own vehicle.

 
Thanks for the replies, as you may have gathered i'm the subbie in question.

I wouldn't consider myself as Approved Electrician level in the jib grading, but I would say I would only meet Steve's lower end figure before tax if I work the Saturday aswell as a couple of extra hours in the week.

I should probably mention i've been with the same bloke since the start, all courses payed for by myself. I do get fuel remimbursed, something like

 
Its not the best m8 , but the way things are at the moment you may want to stick it out, its better than no job at all, get through this year and think again. You don't say where you are, some guys are very busy, some are struggling.
