You two just don’t get it, this is a specialist team? Each man has his own tasks to perform to provide a smooth operation cleanly executed with total respect for their surroundings at a price that is representative of such.
It takes all sorts in this trade .
There are sparks who :-
a) Only do domestic work .
b) Only do new commercial .
c) Some have never worked on a building site .
d) Some only do industrial .
e) Some only do maintenance / breakdowns .
f) Some do all the above .
g) Some have never worked "on the tools" but work as Project Managers . electrical design , consultancy. etc
h) Some have only worked in estimating .
i) Some go through college and straight into supervising ..leap frogging actually working as an electrician.
j) Some only do fire alarms .
k) Some do all of the above

M) those who only 5 weeks prior were working in retail- that’s selling or stacking not electrical.
N) Some that one time were on the tools, but are now at a CPS scheme or IET gravy train and never get their hands dirty ...

O ) And those who are kitchen fitters, "But we can do the electrics for you Luv, to save you getting someone else in" (also applies to Bathroom fitters, Conservatory fitters, Loft conversions and Builders in general)

council contracts. proper chased job. looking for work and any prices people have to offer.

already on with doing some for the council. just wanted to see if there was anything about.
Not around here they aren't - surface everything, ruddy awful! Can't bring myself to do such low standards of work.
