RV conversion problems

I did a 110v/230v conversion on a Winnebago Brave SE about 12 months ago. All went well on installation and I got both the additional 230v and the existing 110v sockets working off either the 230v landpower or the 110v generator, the input source is selectable via a changeover switch with a mid OFF position. When land power is selected the transformer feeds 110v into the old 110v landpower input, and when the 110v generator is being used it picks up the 110v from this point and feeds 230v into the 230v consumer unit.

What is happening now is that the 12v lighting and fridge are draining the battery even when the RV is connected to landpower, so the owner has to periodically use the generator to charge them up.

Why aren't the batteries charging when on 230v landpower????

Strange... thought there would be a better chance of it working properly on a clean land power supply!

maybe stating the obvious, but the charger is connected to the right side of change over switch?

does the charger have any lights on it saying it has power, or any problems?

On 230v landpower the supply is as follows

230v in through to changeover switch and then on to 230v CU; also to 230v/110v TX. 110v side connected into old 110v landpower socket.

is the gennie kicking out at 60hz, and the charger doesn't like your stepped down 50hz supply? (just a thought)

I was starting to think that this may be the problem, although chargers aren't usually frequency sensitive------are they??
