Scrap copper prices

Started a new job and there is so many scraps! Just wondering how much one and a half stones worth of cable would be if I took it to a yard? Really can't be bothered to strip it though unless anyone has any tips for stripping it quickly! Cheers

i think it is 3,000 per ton,

ring round a few local yards, ask them for the price for unstripped cable. Can vary so worth ringing a few.

I dont strip my cable, most of its small domestic though. Worthwhile if you've got alot of larger csa cable.

when you find the price, theres a sticky one one of the threads, would be worth updating price there for others?

TIP:

Tear out the CPC and put it in a bag of "clean copper"

Put the (now 2 core no earth ) PVC covered cable in another bag.

Maximum return for minimum effort.
