Do you need to run a separate earth when installing a new shower ! In a new build

What is the regulation that you are thinking of that suggests you need to? If you re-read the regulations that you think are applicable to the design of a shower circuit, then it will normally be quite clear what cable sizes and protective devices are needed to meet your chosen protective measures against electric shock. Rather than someone just saying 'yes' or 'no', I think you will learn more by posting the regulations you consider relevant, then other members can guide you to a clearer understanding of what is or is not needed. If you don't understand already if or when separate earths may or may not be needed then just getting Yes or No will probably not help you understand the next time you have a similar question. (As a side note, I would be very surprised if many electricians on here would actually do a new build shower circuit in 6.0mm).
