As I am cynical I always think there must be more to this than just this company not being able to perform. It makes me think the risks may have been found to be a lot larger than what a security company can cope with and that's why the army has got involved if you know what I mean.

Well it has just been in the local paper that G4S have triumphed yet again

There has been a bit of a sporting event in my area, it involved hitting balls down holes with sticks.

Local Church was used as the base for the Mercedes Courtesy cars, and was guarded by G4S. Over the weekend some scrotes stole the lead off the church roof WHILST it was being guarded by G4S. They started on Saturday and came back on Sunday, when one of the Guards noticed them and gave chase...and promptly lost them

So sleep safe in your beds...it is all under control

Done some security work in past.. when muppets in charge screw up so much that company cant survive, they just duck out letting itt go to the wall....6 months later brand new takeover of some obscure twopenny outfit that suddenly expands into the big time...tried and tested routine...:banghead:

Security firm almost stopped my career in my early 20s. Not getting into details, but, as always, it seems that money & scruples are on opposite sides of the scales - as you gain one, you`ll lose the other. Sadly, the loss of the morality seems inversely proportional to the culpability. Nah - must be me getting paranoid & cynical again :coat
