I have an external PIR light which will be enclosed with a porch. I intend to install an additional external stand- alone PIR sensor to activate the light. The recommended wiring is to extend the Live (red), L1 (brown) and neutral (blue) to the new PIR. I cannot locate any 3 core external cable with these colours. How would an electrician wire up this additional PIR?

Thanks for your replies:

Do the major DIY stores sell 4 core cable by the meter ( I only need about 3M) and is there a particular name for this this type of cable that is both flexible and is suitable for external use?

Can you explain why the wires should not be marked in Red?
